Wake Forest Pre-College Programs is proud to welcome the new College LAUNCH Program Manager, Mackenzie Wilkins, to the team.

Mackenzie is a Charlotte native and Wake Forest University alum ’19. In her time at Wake Forest she majored in psychology with a minor in schools, education, and society, and was an active member of Students for Education Reform and the African/Caribbean Student Association.

Recently, Mackenzie graduated with her masters in counseling from UNC Greensboro. Her prior work experience includes serving as a Guidance Counselor for the UNCSA High School Academic program and providing counseling services for students at Guilford College. Mackenzie most recently comes from working in a private practice setting where she provided therapy services for teens and adults experiencing a range of mental health and personal development concerns.

Mackenzie is excited to join the Wake Forest Pre-College Programs team and apply her professional and collegiate experiences to support the College LAUNCH program. As the Program Manager, Mackenzie will lead LAUNCH Scholars throughout 9 months of college prep, leadership development, and social justice workshops. She will mentor LAUNCH Scholars and alumni, develop fundraising and recruitment campaigns, and collaborate with organizational partners to grow our community impact, among many other responsibilities.
