This month, Scholars embarked on a day of scientific discovery hosted by the Wake Forest Physics and Engineering Departments. The January Summit featured interactive science demonstrations, hands-on telescope-building activities, and a guided tour of physics research laboratories. This immersive experience aimed to broaden students’ understanding of diverse STEM majors and potential career paths. Throughout the day, scholars had the unique opportunity to interact with Wake Forest faculty, staff, and current students, gaining valuable insights into the field of STEM. The highlight of the day was an inspiring address by President Wente, in which she emphasized the crucial role of collaboration and curiosity in life and scientific advancement.
