The November Summit on Saturday, November 22, 2025, was a huge success, centered on College Readiness, Civic Engagement, and YPAR (Youth Participatory Action Research). After a high-energy start with icebreakers, the core of the morning session was dedicated to deep dives into YPAR work, where students made significant progress on their projects with support from staff and the YLEB. This focus on research was followed by an important session on “Engaging in Democracy and Leadership,” equipping attendees with critical skills before they broke for a delicious Jason’s Deli pasta bar lunch.

The afternoon shifted gears to focus on college readiness, a major highlight of the day. Students dedicated their time to “Building a College List & Research Worksheet,” actively planning their futures, and kept the energy high with interactive sessions like the “NC Colleges Game” and the “Four Corners Game.” The productive day concluded with a final wrap-up session, ensuring all last-minute YPAR questions were addressed.
