November Saturday Summit

This month, Scholars learned about civic engagement, built their college list, and began working on their group YPAR projects. Scholars learned from campus and community partners, Generation Nation and Deacs Decide, who shared more about civic leadership in their communities and ways to create change at every level. Scholars participated in interactive activities to practice proposing policy changes and researching methods to become involved in their communities. Scholars also received more information on how to research colleges and build a college list that aligns with their academic, personal, and career goals. To conclude the day, students had time to meet with their YPAR groups, diving into the project planning process and preparing to submit their outline in December.
